| 7th Year at Forest Park High School. Have been rowing for 12 years. Level III Certified Coach. Awards: Masters Nationals 2004 - 1 Gold Medal, 2 Silver Medals; 2005 Washington Post All-Extra Women's Coach of the Year; Head of the Potomac 2006 - Gold Medal (Mixed Oct. 8), Bronze Medal (Wm Master 8); Wye Island 2006 - Gold Medal (Mixed Master 8 - Set Course Record); Occoquan Challenge 2008 - Silver Medal - (Wm Master 8), Bronze Medal (Mixed 8); Head of the Occoquan 2006 - Gold Medal (Wm Master 8), Bronze Medal (Wm Master Quad); Occoquan Chase 2006 - Silver Medal (Wm Master 8, Silver Medal (Open Mixed Quad); Head of the Ohio 2006 - Gold Medal (Wm Quad), Bronze Medal (Wm Master 8). | |

Michael Cox -- Head Coach Varsity Men 2008 Forest Park Novice Men's Coach; 2008 PWCA Experienced Men's Coach; US Rowing Level 1 Certification ( I plan on attending the Level 2 this January in Washington, D.C); Concept 2 Indoor Rowing Training Certification; Currently rowing at the Master's level; Member Occoquan Boat Club; 2007 " Head of the Charles" Regatta participant: Club Men's Eights. I believe in giving back to the sport, this past summer I was fortunate to be able to coach a PWCA ( Prince William Crew Association) Summer Rowing Camp for " At Risk" youth involved in " The :House " a non-profit organization that's runs after school and summer programs for kids in grade 6-12. Several other coaches from Oxford House were involved as well, it was a great experience introducing this sport to children and young adults right here in Prince William County who may not have an opportunity to participate in otherwise. I had an awesome experience last year at Forest Park and I am looking forward to the upcoming 2009 season. I would like to thank Coach Thompson, the Booster's Club, all the Student-Athletes and Parents that make this program something I am very proud to be a part of."** |

Marta Metzler -- Novice Girls Coach 2nd Year at Forest Park High School. Level 1 certified coach. Rowing for 6 years; an alumnus from Woodbridge High School; rowed on the Freshman 8 and for the rest of high school rowing career was a member of the Lightweight 8; received a Bronze Medal at Nationals as a sophomore in high school. Second year rowing with the Prince William Rowing Club Competitive Women's Team. Awards include: Wye Island 2007 Gold Medal (Masters Mixed 8); Head of the Ohio 2007 Bronze Medal (Masters Open 8); Head of the Ohio 2007 Bronze Medal (Masters 4); Occoquan Chase 2007 (Masters 8 1st place) Champion of the Chase
